One of the main premises of this project was the need to adapt existing buildings to contemporary housing standards, the fluidity between spaces and the connection with the outside, through large spans of the total size of the rooms.

In areas with greater privacy exposure, balconies were proposed to ensure greater visual blocking from the outside of the lot. An attempt was made to establish a connection between the Porto City Park, located on the other side of Avenida da Boavista, and the project. For this same reason, the vegetative element is very present in this intervention.

The materials were selected based on their durability and sustainability, these being natural elements, both in terms of flooring, wall coverings and exterior treatment.

The exterior stairs leading to floor 0 are covered in natural travertine stone and the entire floor on this floor, both exterior and interior, is made of travertine sheets, allowing continuity and connection between the interior-exterior space, which is reinforced by the window frames Hidden.

Regarding the exterior, we start with the wall that borders Avenida da Boavista, which will be made of a metal grid with a coconut fiber interior and covered with low-maintenance plant cover.

Uma das premissas principais deste projeto foi a necessidade da adequação das construções existentes aos padrões habitacionais contemporâneos, a fluidez entre espaços e a ligação com o exterior, através de grandes vãos de dimensão total das divisões.

Nas zonas de maior exposição de privacidade foram propostas varandas de modo a garantir um maior bloqueio visual desde o exterior do lote. Procurou-se estabelecer uma ligação entre o Parque da Cidade do Porto, localizado do outro lado da Avenida da Boavista e o projeto. Por esse mesmo motivo o elemento vegetativo está bastante presente nesta intervenção.

Os materiais foram selecionados com base na sua durabilidade e sustentabilidade, sendo estes elementos naturais, tanto a nível de pavimentos, revestimentos de paredes como de tratamento do exterior.

As escadas exteriores de acesso ao piso 0 são revestidas a pedra natural travertino e todo o pavimento deste piso, tanto a nível exterior como interior é em lâminas de travertino, permitindo uma continuidade e ligação entre espaço interior-exterior que é reforçado pelos vãos de caixilharia oculta.

Em relação ao exterior começamos pelo muro que faz fronteira com a Avenida da Boavista que será em grelha metálica com interior em fibra de côco e revestido a cobertura vegetal de baixa manutenção.
